Hi, wondering if anyone can help, we bought our son a laptop last year for xmas although it cost £450 he has used it daily. Now his little brother wants one for xmas....he's 9 years old and we said too young for one but we are considering buying a netbook for him as he goes on the net to play online games especially runescape alot......does anyone know if this game can be played on a netbook and if there are any good deals out there at the moment. advice would be greatly appreciated......thanks
one other thing do these netbooks have a cd rom as he has got several games on cd.

Netbooks do not have a cd/dvd drive.
You are better off looking at a bigger 15" screened laptop that will have a cd/dvd drive. A better size screen if he wants to play games on it.
For the same price as a laptop you could buy a desktop with a larger monitor still.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

Netbooks wont play anygames but the most basic like solitare, they lack the processing power and graphic.
What games are on CD does he have that way we have more of an idea of the minimum requirements.Survey earnings total 2009 £417, 2010 £875, 2011 £5740 -
runescape is flash based, i think (or java, can't remember) and it's downloaded so lack of optical drive won't matter.
That being said, I'm certain that it will be very laggy, because my netbook can't even run cafe world without serious issues.0
