Hi All
I have an excel spreadsheet which contains an input form done in VBA .
The input form has spaces to enter 'surname', 'forename' and 'date joined'.
My problem is that in the 'date joined' box when I enter the date in the format dd/mm/yy the form converts this to the US style mm/dd/yy and i then get this date format entered into my spreadsheet (I have the appropriate cells in the worksheet formatted for dd/mm/yy but this seems to make no difference)
Are there any excel / VBA gurus who can advise me how to make sure my input form does not change the date format
thanks in advance
Jim

Hi Jim, I've always had really good and quick advice when it comes to Excel from the Google Groups - http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.excel.programming0

Jim, without knowing what you are doing exactly with the form it's difficult to see where it's going wrong. An alternative you could use is the inbuilt Excel form function in the Data menu. If I'm correct in saying you are using a form to add data to a number of defined columns then you could use this tool. Having already defined the Date colum as dd/mm/yy format any data you enter via the Data > Form tool will not intefer with the defined format. Hope it helps?!0
