  • the total amount is 1350- -for all the charges, what they have offerd is part of the difference with no interest, do I think its fair- at present- I think anything is better than nothing...

Credit card charges: Keep chasing the full amount. If I had settled for the lower offer, I would have lost out on plus £2000. [Never gave up. ;)]

mmm, it worked out to be 1350 in charges in total- I have calculated the difference from when the charges where 20 pounds and then went down to 12 pounds and asked for the difference. They also charged me for ppi insurance and then after 6 months- stopped charging me. would rather have the high amount - of course, but also dont want to be greedy and loose every thing as maybe something is better than nothing...

1] Ask for the PPI back if it was mis-sold. I got mines back.
2] Accept the payment as part-payment, without prejudice and continue with your claim.
3] Still chase the rest. Don't give in too soon.

From one of my credit cards, I've had a cheque back for £2043 9 days ago :j(£2140 in total, which included their first offer) and another cheque for £800 today :jfrom another credit card (£990 in total, which included their first offer.)
  • If it's an interim payment - definitely accept and claim the rest back.

If it's a final settlement payment - reject, chase it up and claim the full amount. (that's if you were unhappy with the offer...)
  • I called them and said taht i would not accept this and they said that this was their final offer and I would have to go through the FOS if I wasnt happy- I have faxed the details over to them friday. How long does the FOS take to get a final outcome?.....

    Thanks heaps for any advise!
