Best place to buy theatre vouchers?

Hi, confuzzled n00b here with regard to theatre tickets, I want to buy my friend and her h2b some vouchers for theatre tickets, is it better to order lastminute.com vouchers or vouchers that are specifically theatre tickets and if so where do I get the latter? I'm not 100% savvy on such things as I generally just buy tickets for what I want to see, but want to give them a choice as she likes her musicals etc but he loves jazz etc - also don't want to pin them to a specific night if poss.

Any ideas/comments/suggestions greatfully received :)

You can buy theatre tokens from places like wh-smiths that can be used in most theatres. only downside with them is you have to pay full price for the tickets as you have to buy them through the box office. http://www.theatretokens.com/

never bought LM.com vouchers but im assuming you can use them on anything. if you want to save her money on the tickets then maybe thats the best option. however they will be limited to the shows they have on.

There's also these ones - I'm trying to decide which ones to buy at the moment as well, so was hoping that someone might know what the difference is and which are best?
You need to check where they can be used though to make sure the theatres you might use are on the list.

theatre tokens are your best bet, these are the legitimate ones taken by all theatres.

Not all theatres - the Birmingham hippodrome which is one of biggest in Brum isn't on the list.
