advice - Sports Direct - personalised shirt

Hi,
I wondered if anyone can offer me any advice about this please?
We purchased a football shirt for my son for Christmas and had it personalised at Sports Direct. To cut a long story short, we are unhappy with the finished product. The name looks uneven and the number is as long as the shirt (reaches to the bottom -its massive -basically an adults number on a 4 year olds shirt). I took it back and had a lengthy debate with the manager. He says the name is even and the number is right. I disagree. He won't do anything despite me asking really nicely, and being clear that I feel it is uneven and am unhappy. Is there anything I can do? Bearing in mind this cost me £35!! I paid by visa debit - is chargeback an option in this case do you think?
Any advice welcome!!

No I dont think you have any rights.
The number would be a one size fits all. You shouldnt have asked for it if you didnt want it being so large, secondly re the uneven name. Did you bring this up at the time?
I don't think you really will be getting anywere here. I doubt a 4 year old will even notice or care anyway.0 -

Totally disagree about the number being one size fits all, as other sports companies who name and number shirts have childrens sized lettering and numbers.
I would go back and perhaps speak to a different manager.0 -

Possibly the specialist companies who charge a lot. The likes of JJB etc will be one size fits all.0 -

Normally the high street sports shop do have different size letters/numbers.
The problem is that you asked for a shirt with a number on the back, which is exactly what you got, did you ask dimensions etc before you ordered? If not, you are out of luck. You could complain to head office, but anything will be down to goodwill.0
