Credit Card Debt and Savings account with the same company

Hi All,

I have some back pay for a benefit due me (sent already) and it has been paid into a barclays saving account (although not cleared, should be clear tomorrow according to benefits people). At present there is £2 in the account but they never shut it down and emptied it when I got the dro so I dont know what they will do.

However, I have a dro for outstanding credit card debt with barclaycard.

Can barclays take the money from my savings account to go towards the debt I owe with barclaycard?

thanks for the link, according to that they can't as considering I have a dro in place the payment isn't due per se.

Would that be a correct interpretation, especially as the debt is not due and payable according to the dro in place?
