Diverter valve

Hi all,

I have a problem with my central heating. When i turn my heating to come on i have to go in the airing cupboard and manually start my diverter valve so the heating comes on. Ie the pump [brand new one] starts and the heating is activated.

It looks like i will have to have a new valve fitted does any one know how much i could be looking at.

Thanks all

If you can move the valve by hand then I’d suggest looking into just changing the electrical actuator, if you can match make & model then it’s a couple of screws & a couple of wires and no need to break into the wet side
  • Electrics may have a fuse blown?

Actuator coil assy. open circuit /wire loose?

Google "boiler spares uk" from £25?

new 2 or 3 port valves complete from about 28/29 quid at screwfix.
simple enough to replace, esp just the head part.
    Get some gorm.
  • :TThanks all. Thgought it might have been an arm and a leg job
  • Just check that if there is a room thermostat in the circuit it is not faulty
