Quick Quid.co.uk

Options
Hi i was just wanting some advice, has anyone used quick quid.co.uk, i saw an advert on the tv and checked out the site.
I am wanting to borrow 300 pound to clear my council tax arrears, but am concerned about the site and whether it is safe?
i have quite bad credit rating due to a debt that i am still paying off. i pay it off through a separate company.
I had a look through the apr, and i think i wud have to pay back 380. I'm pretty desperate to get rid of these arrears. as i dont like recieving red letters.
Any advice about this quick quid site?

thankyou:)

The site is fine - for a payday loan site, that is - but it seems a silly thing to do in the circumstances. Have you made an offer to the Council to pay off the arrears monthly? They're usually fairly reasonable as long as people talk to them.

Though no-one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new ending.

  • I have used them... They are great, money into your bank by closing and if you need to speak to them they are really helpful. :)
  • thanks for the reply, i get paid weekly so i was thinking of just paying a £100 on thursday and then the same the week after, but just thought it might be easier to get the loan so that its paid for straight away. my friend got in trouble with bayliffs with her council tax and dont want the same to happen to me. x
  • lady jayne.. how long did u get to pay it back?xx
  • I only go a small amount of £50 and paid back £60 in one but they do have different arrangements. Maybe try calling them first.
  • Ok thankyou x

There's only a bailiff issue if it goes to Court - just don't let it get that far! Call the Council tomorrow and see if you can make an arrangement to pay off at a rate you can afford. If they won't help - or it's gone too far - the there's always QuickQuid.

Another thought - have you checked if there's a local credit union? They might be able to help.

  • thanks for ur help xx
  • As people have said, phone the council let them know your situation. Offer to make a small contribution.

I know its a short term loan but QuickQuid - 2222.46% APR is just taking advantage of people that don't know any better.

    DON'T USE THEM!!!

How does it sound like a good idea to swap owing someone £300 with owing someone £380??

    :confused::confused:

Red letters are nothing compared to what will happen when you default your payday loan repayments.
