Have I stepped into a parallel universe without realising it?

Well, as I'm reliant on credit cards / cash machines to get hold of this kinda stuff anyway, I'm already held to account by 'the man'.
Just so we're on the same page (and sorry for all the questions), but why would a totalitarian government want to stop me buying a pint? I feel like I should know the answer at this point, but I just can't think of a logical reason why this new world order would be bothered by me having a pint of Old Speckled Hen in my local.
I'm still seriously blown away that you're 46. I just assumed you were 14. Sorry about that.
Didn't you know the Illuminati are led by the mysterious 'Timothy Taylor'? I never made the connection until now...“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

No, the hpc-ers have escaped again.
The men in white coats with straightjackets will be along shortly and normal service will be resumed.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

I think you have to be careful with that argument, Zimbabwe had significant spare labour capacity and that didn’t stop it having hyperinflation
Yes, any Economic argument, where you resort to using Zimbabwe as an example leaves you open to riducule.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
What a load of crap.
Economics is not a science and can't be used to make any accurate predictions. It is only a tool used by economists to give them a career. What good is it when hardly any of them saw the last 18 months coming?
I'd like to see these economists do a real science degree like physics or chemistry - You'll need more than the ability to bullsh*t to pass these.0 -
Seems like Japan will be joining the rest of the worlds race to debase fiat currencies.
With the ¥500 Trillion QE bunny money the Japanese central bank will be adding to the supply Nintendo will do well with the debasement of the currency.
I call it bunny money because thats how it spreads, they create 500 trillion units of fiat currency and it spreads to something like 500 Quadrillion with fractional reserve banking and outstanding revolving credit.0
