Has anyone wondered why tickets for Peter Kay's Tour that doesn't Tour Tour have gone on sale over 12 months prior to the gig (Newcastle, Sheffield etc)?
For what it's worth, here's my take on it. With the VAT rise due on 1st Jan, selling the tickets now at £35 each nets £30.43 ex VAT. If they sell them at £35 inc VAT next year, the ex VAT figure would be £29.79 - 64p less. Doesn't sound a lot, but with a reported 600,000 tickets sold, it equates to £384,000 extra revenue!!
A nice little money earner!!
