Replace central heating system cost ?

Options
We're in a 2 bed bungalow with added conservatory. Currently, we've a Baxi back boiler single pipe system. Any ideas of a ballpark figure for ripping the lot out and installing a modern system ? Or is leaving the boiler alone as it's working fine and just replacing the radiators and pipe system an option ? Would that be much cheaper ?

I'm thinking £3-4k, is that somewhere close ?

3k is the UK average for a complete CH system.
    depending where you live?
a boiler replacement is about 1500 quid, here in the NW.
    Get some gorm.
  • We had ours done two years ago (three bedroom house)- new combi boiler and all new radiators (7), including one where there hadn't been before and it was £3500. I'm in Essex by the way.

We used to have a back boiler and we were told that 50p out of every pound that we were paying was going straight up the chimney.

If you'd waited until next April you'd have got £400 of it back though... ;)
