Tumble not heating up properly

Hello I ve a hotpoint tumble dryer TL51 first edition, I bought it second hand 7 years ago. This lately when ive put washing in to be dried it blows cold air :eek: another time I use its normal warm air, and I havent touched the dials , do anyone know why it doesnt heat up ? perhaps the thermostat has given up the ghost...
