Peugeot 307 questions.

Just a couple of questions directed at anyone who knows, works or has worked on Peugeot 307 2.0 litre Hdi 90bhp with a/cond. 2004 on a "54" plate.
1. there is a multipin plug on top of the engine air intake just behind the filter casing. How is this removed? Or is it necessary to remove this or disconnect the intake tube to gain access to the filter element?
2. How is the cabin pollen filter accessed? I understand it is fitted behind the bulkhead sound deadening insulation situated behind the top of the engine. If so, which sections(s) of insulation need removing and how? Is it also necessary to remove the top plastic cover from the engine to make access easier.
The Haynes manual is too simplistic in it's description and not sufficiently detailed.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
