I'll try and keep this as brief as possible folks
bought my sister a laptop for her birthday on the 3rd of November, she didn't have a phone line (well there was one in the house but BT said as it hadn't been used in 12 months that she had to pay £125 to be connected) money taken from her account the same day. Appointment made for 2 weeks later!!! for an engineer to come out and do the work required. As my sister was at work on the day it was due, I went down to her house and sat in for the engineer.
He was there promptly and I told him where my sister would like the box to be in her lounge, he pointed to the old one that was already there and said "sorry luv, we work on a strict timetable and I don't have the time to move it there, I'm just putting it where the old one is" I said that wouldn't be any good as it needed to be neer a socket so she could plug in her phone. He wouldn't budge...
He then faffed about for about 20 minutes, in the house, outside, down the street!! in the back garden. He came in and said there was a problem, he was refusing to climb the mast outside as it was old
and that someone would be in touch to let my sis know what was happening.
no one called her (mobile) so she called them and was told, yes,yes you will be connected at midnight tonight, my sis explained what happened and the CS agent said she couldn't tell her any more and that someone would call her the next day in the morning. They didn't, she had to call back again and has done severall times since and is never told the same thing twice!!!
What is it with BT!!! they have taken this money from my sis and are not providing her with the service she has paid for!!! and they don't seem to give a t oss.
We are now at the 7th of December, over a month since they took her money and she still has no phone or broadband!!!
and judging by the other BT threads on here, she definately aint the only one unhappy with BT right now.
Does anyone know what she can do now or a person higher up she might get some answers from?

Hello Amistoso,
That doesn't sound good at all, it's hard to say what’s going on without looking at the account but I can look into this further.
If you want drop me an email btcare@bt.com and I will see what's going on with this order.
All the best,

BT rep posted on the 7th, you posted to say you had sent the email on the 10th, and now you're complaining less than 24hrs later (at 8.43am) you haven't got a response? Give them more than one afternoon.
Why do you need a refund if you want the phone with them?0 -
Hi amistoso, thank you for your email. I have sent you a reply.
