Otherwise I am at high risk of being thumped by OH on behelf of her laptop !!!
She's typing up a document in Word 2000, and for some reason has managed to hit the right buttons to enable 'reveal formatting', and so has all the marks etc across the document.
Going into the 'format' menu there's no formatting function.
On my Word 2003, it's there, and shows 'Shift + F1' as the shortcut, but this doesn't work on OH's document.
What keys did she hit, and how do we remove the formatting marks so that I can avoid a thumping !!

I think it is CTRL * ?

I don't have that version of word but just saving the document.
Closing Word.
Starting Word.
Opening document may well revert you to the default view0 -
Ctrl-Shift-8 I think.
Or use the ¶ button.0 -
