First National ppi claim

Hi
Me and my hubby took out a loan in 2003 with First National, the Broker was Norton Finance. We have attempted to reclaim the ppi, which I believe we have a good case for, but have been turned down, took this to the FOS who said that Norton were not regulated in 2003 and neither were they members of the GISC.
Is there anything more I can do? I have heard something about claiming from the Underwriter (Pinnacle), if so how do I go about this? Should I email the FOS and see if they know anything about this? Many thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hi there
Yes this is what I have done, as being in the same position as yourself and many others have too.
With me I wrote to the insurers/underwriters and told them I still believe they had liability, and they did say "no" but the FOS are actually looking into this and its now just waiting to be passed on to an adjudicator, go for it, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi Di3004,
Many thanks for you reply. How do you suggest I go about it? Should I reapproach the FOS and ask them to look into this for me or start again with the first template letter and send to the insurer?0 -

Your welcome.
I would write as you did with the other one if you want to, tell them your have already been the direction with the broker, but believe that they are also liable as well, and want them to look into this for you, and like usual they have 8 weeks.
I expect they will get back a lot sooner than that, good luck.
