Where can i find out my Cars Insurance Claim History

I Purchased my car a few months ago , i was told at the time it had a claim history and i carried out 3 different HPI / car checks . One ( The cheapest ) showed nothing (!!), one a theft claim and one an insurance claim ( Cat D ) !! I had it checked over by a mechanic who could not find any obvious crash damage repairs.
I have been told that when a "marker" is put against a car, the insurance company that does this will submit photos to "Someone" and you can get copies if you write to them ? Any idea who "They" are ?
I know you are thinking "Why did you buy it ? " , well it is my dream classic car ( Porsche ) and it looks amazing.... Heart did rule my head !
