Microsoft Activation Errors !!!!

Windows WPA (Windows Product Activation) is telling me that Windows needs to be Activated to continue, I click the OK.. then it tells me that Windows is already Activated,,, an starts all over again,,,, :mad: :mad: telling me that before I can continue "windows needs to be activated",, won't even let me go into safe mode,,, I seem to be stuck in a loop... any clues...( apart from f'disk & re-install windows) ... It's a genuine copy of Win XP Pro (OEM)..

I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0

Here is a link for activation FAQ. If I were you I would make a quick call to MS and they will sort it out. Or search google with your symptoms.

are you sure you have a genuine xp Pro... its unusual for home users to have Pro - have you got the license sticker on the side of your computer?0

I had problems with my XP Home activation, and ended up having to get MS on the phone. 10 mins later.....problem solved.
I was advised to reboot, and go through the process (which I'd already done to no avail...it wasn't showing me the code on screen that I needed) again, and for some reason it worked. No idea why, but painless in the end.0 -
I had a problem with my XP pro..... When I upgraded my bios it needed activated. The problem was that it wouldnt connect to the net because My computer needed to fully boot in order to access. I had to use the Activate over phone option. Also use this option and check your key is correct0
