I recently purchased the Indesit Washer Dryer which is meant to save on water and electricity. According to the manual the quickest programme was a 30 min was. Last night I put in four shirts (Size 16 neck if you want to work out the weight of them and size and it took 1hour 10 mins to wash. Earlier in the day four pairs of trousers were in there for over three hours.

Indesit say that the machine weighs the load and works out maximum performance but surely the electricity and water used on a three hour wash is huge?!

Hi, my indesit has a 15min fast wash cycle with a limit of 1.5kg, literally only 1 or 2 light items. My daughter jammed in about 6 pairs of jeans one day and it went on and on, and didnt rinse properly. Check the handbook, does it have a weight limit for that cycle? We only use the fast wash for refeshing a couple of items.
Also check the install, if its not filling or emptying as quick as it should you can get longer than normal cycles.
