Cleaning Patio Slabs

Hello,
Does anyone have an effective way to clean dirty patio slabs?
I don't have access to a power washer.
I have seen in my local DIY store that Jeyes do a chemical one.
But I am cautious about killing anything if I use chemicals.
Any suggestions?
Thanks awfully
SB

diluted thick bleach and a good hard yard brush does the trick but make sure you were wellies in case of splashes
Jeyes is good for cleaning algae etc.
You can get eco cleaners B&Q were selling some cheap last week for £1 reduced from £28. I got several of them whilst on offer, just diluted 10 parts to 1 of the liquid. and leave for 30 minutes and wash down

I wouldn't recommend using a power washer anyway - unless you were cleaning ready for selling !
The high water pressure takes the top coat off the concrete and they will get dirtier, quicker than before.
You are OK on natural stone though.0 -
You can hire a pressure washer from diy shops0

Works pretty well without a washer. Hose & broom & wellies (it IS caustic)

Another fan of a pressure washer ...... they work
If you work out the cost of patio cleaners ( plus a lot of hard scrubbing)
pressure washers are cost effective.0 -

jet washer makes it a simple job.

All about litres per minute, small DIY machines use about 5 LPM, industrial 13-15 (Engine powered), pressure is important, but amount of water is more important. Small washer = bigger job, Hire one. Turbo nozzle above 8 horse power. Then seal with concrete sealer.0

I used a pressure washer on our driveway, decking and front of our house on block paving earlier this year I keep tabs on water usage and it went up by around 40% for 2 days work not full days work just took 2 days to do.
Its a cheap red devil washer around £50 6-8 years ago.
Tempted top get a better one as I like one that has that patio adaptor on it0
