I think copyright and internet is an oxymoron...

Yet you werent amused as I recall it when someone aka "plaguriser" reproduced your guide without your permission. ;) Copyright merely exists to protects other peoples work.

This is what:money: has to say about posts made on MSE Forums :

    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/forum-faqs#posting

"In terms of our copyright, you can post things you've posted here, on other sites, but not posts by other forum users".

Had it been someone merely making posts with copying and pasting of posts from other sites contained within them nothing would have got said at least not by me, as it was someone was making a point about "my" postings "often" containing links from other sites without the use of coping and pasting of posts from other sites having previously posted asking if I could as a matter of course copy and paste posts from other sites within my posts rather than just post links to other site forums which I had been taking the time out to both source and post to give information to other users of this thread whom if were interested in the subject matter could themselves take the time out to click the supplied link and read the post from the other sites forum.

In the first instance I was merely answering as to why "I" "often" didnt copy and paste other peoples posts from other sites onto MSE Forums within "my" posts as a matter of course, subsequently during the course of normal forum dialogue their were as a matter of fact inaccuracies posted in relation to the subject of copyright.:)

I will now "mostly" let others source relevant information from other site forums and make their own posts here in relation to them as opposed to me doing it as I am certain that you will agree E.L it is the sourcing of information from elsewhere not the copying and pasting of it which takes the time. :)

It's been taken off TCB and from the comments on there it looks like you're not the only one who had it rejected. I did think it was too good to be true...

HIFX are on Fatcheese; to qualify you need to not just register, but to do a transfer of funds (HIFX's minimum is £250, from memory).

  • hi,
i recently signed up for ecasher and have subsequently been banned for supposedly being a non-uk citizen. obviously they have got it wrong but they will not respond to my emails. any ideas as to why this may have happened? is their "live help" open?

There are a few reasons why this may have happened for instance sometimes IP's such as AOL often show up as non-UK, also some people use software that disguises their IP and these can also show as foreign so it could be something as simple as that, but Ecasher themselves are the best ones to answer your question.

I have always found the customer service at Ecasher to be very good and they have usually answered any query very quickly but if you have been banned as you say, they may have blocked you. I have never tried to use "live help" so I'm sorry I can't help you on that score, but if you don't have any joy in contacting them PM me with your username and I will try and get in touch for you. :)
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours :)
