Dvd player with divx xvid and 1tb ext usb hdd support

I was looking for some help, I want two cheap and cheerful dvd players that have support for large ext hdd's (1tb) via usb so I can play all my divx and xvid files.

It has to be recent, (been searching some forums and keep coming across players from 2006)

no more than £45 and available from shops like Argos/comet or online shops such as amazon.

Oh and should preferably "look like a dvd player" The Samsung H1080 just looks daft

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I recommend the Philips players (I got 3 of them below) work flawless even take usb flash drives 5900 playes upscales 1080p

5980 and 5990 play many high bitrate Xvid/Divx

I've heard those players mentioned quite a bit, I was hoping for a new player

Do you know anything about the Philips DVP3310/05 or DVP3360/05

I had a rubbish response from Philips conflicting reviews I have seen on other sites, saying :

Thank you for your recent e-mail.

Our DVD recorders and players can use USB flash drives and memory sticks of up to 4GB that are FAT.32 formatted, it is not possible to use an external HDD with the unit.

Has anyone bought a Sumvision Phoenix Premium DVD Player? It gets good review, cheapest I've found is £31.86 on Amazon.

I've got one and it's pretty good for the price. Not tried it with an external hdd but it plays movies off a USB stick fine.

is that divx supported,my old player burned out and im looking for a good deal meself,have checked the codes for amason on here cant find a good deal tho
