xp new install question

Hi i have just installed xp onto a new pc, but the colours/graphics/fonts are appearing big and a little childish.....
it did tell me to "click this balloon" during installation to sort out the graphics & colours etc but i thought i would let it install first, it has now fisnihed the install and re-booted but that msg to click the balloon hasnt come back again and now im still left with these poor colours/fonts/icons...
how can i fix this please?

right click anywhere on the desktop, goto settings and change the resolution etc there.
(you may need the driver disk for installing/your graphics card).Get some gorm.0
