Debit card question

Just before Christmas I deposited some money with an online betting company using my debit card. After I placed a bet and won I withdrew my money (again back onto debit card). I have now looked at my account online and they have sent me back my money as requested but they haven't taken the origonal money that I deposited with them from me! This has left my account with more money in than should be. My question is how long do they have to take the money from my account as it has so far been three weeks!

How much have they refunded and how much did you win? Some bookies don't actually bother taking the money from your card if you win, they just deduct it from the amount they pay out. For example if you had £10 on a winning bet at 2/1 you would normally collect £30 (£20 winnings & your £10 stake refunded). However if they hadn't deducted the £10 first then they would only put £20 back onto your card.0

Well I deposited £100, then used about £24 for a bet which I made a profit of £75, and withdrew the account ballance of £175 (winnings plus origional deposit). Like I said the £175 shows up as credited to my account but the £100 was never taken from me! I will probably leave it in my current account for ages as it is earning a decent rate of interest.0

There is no time limit - you have authorised the payment so they can debit your account at any time. I've personally had a transaction debit 14 months after authorisation before. They can even debit it and your bank will chase you after your account is closed.
Whatever you do, do not spend the money as it is not yours, and do not withdraw it as if they then take it you could go over your limit and get charged. And you wouldn't want that would you!
Leave it there earning interest, that's all you can do, and be happy that you can do that!
