I received a mug gift set that they had sent in a bag..smashed to bits.
So rang this morning to ask for a replacement. The lad on the phone said i was to throw away the broken one and he would refund and reorder it.
So when it came to reorder it he said because i had bought it in a sale he couldnt get it to the price i paid and the best he could do was 60p more than what i paid for it and in a round about way take it or leave it..
Not come across this before and because i want it for a gift i said ok but wondering if this is right when its not actually my fault its broken.

I would have thought that you could ask for a replacement at no extra cost, and would be justified in doing so.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Agreed............ but 60p is not really worth arguing over0

Ask if they'll split the difference
