working out income for benefits purposes

i am not sure how to work out my income.
i have a part time job with payslips, and for a time i was an avon representative but didnt have many they were just family/ friends/ work colleagues. i didnt actually have any money from it as a couple of my friends paid me in kind with beauty treatments, i bought the avon and they did my beauty treatments. and coupled with any avon i ordered and petrol/ books/ selling aids at the end of it the money i actually recieved only just covered how much i owed avon.
so its leaving me a bit confused as to where i stand with income (if any) i have had from this.
any advice appreciated thank you.

Your most up to date wage slip will tell you how much you have earned to date from that job.
With the Avon you would only declare profit - so if you had no profit then it would be a NIL income from that HOWEVER you did recieve payments in kind instead of cash. You would need to work out the cash equivalent and declare that.
