Ames that's really not on.....how can they let you be £120 out of pocket when they know you're on benefits......

And no - we can't get any help with the cost of travel as we don't get income support....which we don't get as DH had a £40 tax rebate which gave us £9 a month too much to claim.

Luc - Good luck at the Dr's.

I managed to walk backwards in to a railing yesterday and bruise my back nicely which of course has triggered my sciatica...I felt like asking the physio lady to work on me instead :D

Luc, they've got lots of reasons why they wont claim.

    Sister:
    1. It's too late (that was less than 2 months after the non delivery).
    2. She was waiting for me to tell her what to do (I don't have a CC so haven't a clue, and at the time when I tried to find out she said I was being controlling and taking over and it was nothing to do with me).
    3. She's not the primary card holder (the only real reason she's come up with).

    Dad:
    1. He said he phoned them and was told that as it was after the festival they wouldn't refund as we couldn't prove we hadn't used the ticket and were trying it on. (surely no-one can ever 'prove' that they didn't receive the goods? And of course they'd try to fob him off to start with).
    2. No-one told him he had to do it as primary card holder.
    3. You can't just phone up and ask for a form to claim back. (not sure what else he thinks you have to do?)

Most annoying is that sister said the only reason she paid by credit card was for the extra protection!

Sister's got no reason to try and claim it back, as she didn't bother paying dad back for her half anyway.

And as for knowing I'm on benefits, they do know but think that a) that leaves me with loads more money than them, and b) I'm a fraudulent scrounger because ME and Bipolar/mental health problems don't exist so I've no reason not to work.

Like I said, time to harden up.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Goodness me....there's a lot of angst on the thread today. At work so limited MSE time but will catch up later.

Sick of the blonde so I'm going RED. Might put a pic up this time lol.

Ames, your family sound a right bunch of meanies, just as bad as mine. My lil sis works all the hours under the sun to try and save for a mortgage deposit, and just cos she's management (albeit hourly paid) my older sister asked for an iPod for her birthday! This the same sister who forgets other people's birthdays (namely MINE) and who ever else she doesn't care about, and buys our pressies from Poundland as both her and her OH waste money like water! So, this year, my sis and her PITA OH's pressie have come from Poundland

If you cant think of anything then dont do it - it has to be 'first thought' or you wont stick with it anyway I think
