    Is she just not happy or is there more to it? Any history of domestic violence, or abuse? If there is them she becomes a prority housing need if there is any documented proof (police call out logs, doctors observations etc).

    If not then she has to apply for housing like everyone else and then has to wait in the queue unfortunately.

    Fran has hit it on the head about the deduction in your benefit so really the choice is yours, dependant on the council though they may ask if it is going to become more than a temporary arrangement then her name goes onto your rent book (and as she will have a place to stay she is no longer a priority need)
