ebay overloaded tonight?

I'm getting worried now as some of my items have still not reappeared. I've had to do manual invoices for some people and send paypal requests direct which is going to be horribly complicated when the items (or *if* the items) turn up again.

I've even got a note on my sold list that some items for 2 buyers may be unavailable at the present time..but they appear to be OK so I wonder if they have bought something that I don't know about.

The whole thing is an absolute mess, I've got paypal payments for people showing as unpaid in ebay and I'm getting a headache.

I'm also wondering if this has anything to do with signing up for that new Global game? I only registered yesterday morning and it's all gone pear shaped since then.

It looks like the 10p listing day has caught ebay unawares again. Just think how bad it will be on Sunday 10 days from now.

A large proportion of the auctions listed yesterday (i.e. all the 10 day ones) will finish a week on Sunday, so eBay will be very busy and may have similar problems again.

Sunday evenings are the busiest times for ebay and even on normal Sundays the site slows down. 10 days after a cheap listing day will be worse just from the sheer volume of extra sales.

The cheap day time before last caused chaos on the Sunday, the ebay groups were full of people complaining that despite lots of watchers their stuff went unsold as the site was unusable for a lot of people. I had people contact me after auctions ended to say they had wanted to bid but couldn't, and I don't think I was the only one.

Well I eventually managed to list some more but nowhere near as many as I would have liked :-(

:eek: I had spent ages over the last couple of days..taking photos and writing up lists (to copy and paste onto the auction to try and save time) as I had so many items to list.

Yet I only managed to do 1/3 of them because of the same problem that seems many people had.

My photos were taking forever to download and sometimes coming up that they were too large (which I have never had before and havent changed the camera etc)
I would get to nearly finishing the listing and then it would freeze :eek:

Yesterday just seemed such a hassle

Hopefully though the items I did list will sell

I am quite new to Ebay but have found the turbo lister to be a great help.

I listed a total of about 40 items last night with no go- slow problems, also meant that I was able to spend the last few days preparing and writing out the descriptions etc ready to send last night.

cannot recommend turbo lister enough, someone on here originally recommended it and it has made my life soooo much easier !!!
