i had problems with my compatible ink saying that it wasnt recognised and was missing chunks off when printing. i ended up throwing the cartridges and buying new compatible ones.
theyve installed fine, ive cleaned print heads but when i print out spreadsheets, the writing is smudged. ive tried realligning print heads - that doesnt help. the only way i can describe it is it looks like there is too much ink and its smudging? its only when printing black - all other colours are fine. if i change the typeface to indigo, it prints perfectly.
i'm using windows 7 32bit. ive installed the driver from epson, but that doesnt make any difference. the printer is just 12mths old - epson were useless when i phoned them to see if it was covered by warranty (didnt say i wasnt using proper ink!!).
