Hello,
Please can I join? I am always overdrawn by the end of each month, but hopefully this will change as one of my new year's resolutions is to go on a money diet (as well as the usual diet and exercise regime). I have now joined the forums after being an onlooker for a while. Being an onlooker did not seem to help my saving habits much or my bank balance, so I realised I needed to become active and join in properly!
I think that I will only be in credit for the first 2 weeks a month intially, so will transfer the money then. I have tranfered a grand total of £1.06 today to an online savings account which had a balance of £0.00. It will therefore be easy to workout how much money I have saved over the year! I have also joined the grocery challenge and this should help to keep my bank balance in credit if I keep up and cut down on other spending as well!
Thanks for setting up this challenge

hi angel,
all i am doing in checking my balance online and then transferring the amount over the nearest £10.
some of us have a target but you dont need to and palema will add you to the first post with a number, when you transfer just put a post on the thread to update your amount and away you go.
today £1.12 for me
total £33.98MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987
EMFD was Feb 32  NOW Dec 2013 its Dec 2016
MF new target Dec 16 REACHED!! :j0 -
Hi Angel
I tend to look at my 2 accounts (personal and bills) on line daily and if there is an odd amount ie £67.54 wll transfer the oddment + £1 (so £1.54) into my designated Vrtual Sealed Pot account then post on this site and update my sig.
Appreciate it's a bit of a faff but it works for me and suprising how those small amounts add up - alsoon next checking I can instantly see from the balance if there's been any movement on my accounts.
Good luck

Just another thought Angel - when you do post if you make the amount in bold or colour or big or all three it makes it easier for our counter (Greenbynature <thanks sweetie you're doing a great job btw>) to tot up the totals.

Hi Angel
Welcome aboard :j
Most people on here use a designated savings account to transfer money into. (I have one not connected to my bank account so I cannot see what is going so I am not tempted to dip into it!!) They also usually transfer the odds into the account on the same day each week ie a Friday, other do it more frequently during the week.
By odds I mean if you have £27.83 in an account you would transfer £7.83 to your Virtual Sealed Pot (VSP) equally if you had £10.02 you would transfer 2p. Everyone also posts how much they have transfered on this thread and I add it to each person's total on page 1 of this thread
I hope I have explained it all ok for you.
I have added you to our growing list on page 1.
Good Luck
