advice on buying a new computer please

Hello people,
I currently have an old computer.
Compaq presario
AuthenicAMD, AMD-K6(tm) 3D processor
56.0mb ram
As you can see very old.
I have £300 max to spend on a new computer any reccommendations would be appreciated.
I use it for internet and only play games like football manager games but want a decent spec well anthing would be better than i have now.
