Is that the council estate they used to call Little Belfast?
My girlfriends Halls of Residence were on Cally Road - next to where the Gin Palace used to be. Now that was a bad neighbourhood. Some guy had his throat cut on the street outside the building.
All sorts of muggings and violence around there.
One of my friends rented a flat there recently and saw some asbo youths so he had words with them - now they periodically throw bricks through his window.
Some people like that kind of thing though - its very urban and edgy.
Personally I think London could sink into the mud and it would do the world a favour but hey ho.0
