Duff soundcard...

Been fiddling around with my Advent speaker system on my PC today to make the thing work. It all lights up but gives no sound. Unplugged it and plugged in the original built in speaks and they too dont work.
So plugged the Advent system into my OH laptop and it works fine.
Which makes me think the soundcard on my pc is duff?
Correct?
Wrong?
Any ideas...

Could be drivers, volume settings etc.!!

Does your PC keyboard have a mute Button on it? The simplest can be the hardest to spot.

Its untivked for mute. Which makes me think its the soundcard...0

Headphones dont do anything.
OS hasnt been reinstalled ever. Its about 4 years old.0 -
