Hope somebody can clarify this situation
My brother passed away last week, he did not have a will and was not married, both parents are still surviving, my brother was not married or co-habiting but does have grown up children, can anyone clarify how his estate is distributed under current Intestacy rules?

Thanks for that, I had found similar text sites, what is not clear is if the children are above Child support qualification, will contact a legal bod tomorrow, as funeral arrangements etc need to be clarified.0 -
Children means children of any age, nothing to do with child support. AFAIK the estate has to pay for the funeral before disbursements are made, but whoever arranges the funeral is responsible for paying the bill and claiming it from the estate..................

It doesn't matter how old the children are, they take the estate in equal portions is my understanding.0
