ETA ... don't let me forget I have a 7pm client call this evening...

Woodstove lit, washing up collected up and put in sink to deal with later. Downstairs is looking a lot better now, but I really do need to get the present sorting done - and maybe move the stuff that still needs doing to the spare room (once I've cleared the summer clothes off the bed :D

Ten minutes till my call, so maybe I can fold a few bits in the spare room before I dial in...

Sexym - big hugs love, they really do seem to be such an unprofessional and disorganised lot you're having to deal with there. I do hope you're writing all this down in a diary just in case...

  • sexymouse back to the union, love. they are taking the p1ss. You cannot be treated like this, this management team are completely bonkers. 4.30 is not an appropriate time to start a meeting like this, and it is completely unreasonable to cancel and rearrange at such short notice. They have to pass you, anyway, because however stupid they are, they must realise that anyone taking a look at your experiences if you complain would wipe the floor with them.
And now I'm ranting! soappie is right, write it all down.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • You are so right - I love all the ideas but not her, if Nigella was doing it, it would be so much better!
Ha! Thats really funny, we keep saying she is trying to style herself the new Nigella, we think "homemade garden" is next.

    *Rant alert*

Well, we'd all been told by deputy head we could have our PPA (planning time that is time out of class) on Wednesday morning while our cover teachers took our class to the carol concert. On Tuesday morning, we came into school and I was told by Head, that we had to go with our classes "3 line whip!" and we didn't have a choice but to miss our PPA time. This was apparently because they thought the parents would expect to see us there, but I know it's because they messed up, and forgot to arrange a supply cover for another teacher, and so wanted to take my PPA cover to cover her, instead of paying a supply teacher! So, my part-time colleague asked if she could stay behind, so that she could do the planning for next week on her own - granted. Then, on Wednesday, we were told that we could have our PPA time today by deputy head - me in the morning, colleague in the afternoon - not together as usual, but still better than none at all. Well, I started PPA first lesson, then discovered (a note stuck on the board and seen by accident) that this afternoon, we had to discuss our Spring plans with deputy, so couldn't have PPA this afternoon. So, I had to rush back after first lesson to teach colleague's class, so both of us could have an hour of PPA. Then, we went an hour at a time to see deputy, who ripped apart all of our Spring plans as they "weren't exciting enough" - translated to mean - not what she would do, so we've got to do them all again now! If she hadn't had such unreasonable time-frames to get them in by, on top of our masses of assesments, then maybe they would've been exciting!

Oh, and my review is no longer tomorrow after school, but on Monday at 4.30pm after my year-group colleague, so I'm not realistically going to leave until nearly 6pm now!
    sexy that is utterly ridiculous:mad::mad::mad::mad:
If it were me I would be getting back onto the union again....they cannot keep doing this to you all, its unfair and unprofessional:cool:

    Hiya everyone

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. I had a fabulous day. Not been around because we went out last night and today I've been 'busy'.

I can't remember if I'd mentioned DD got a rescue hamster (why aren't I surprised that happened so quickly!). Last night it escaped. I've spent the day tidying EVERYTHING. For one night only there is not one thing out of place in my house. EVERYTHING is in it's right place (and then I found the hamster had made a nest in a bag of hay less than a foot away from it's cage). Oh well!

So, now I can claim Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday stars.

Sorry i've not caught up with the thread but love and hugs to everyone xx

The whole situation is so unreasonable. I hope you are recording all of this in a diary and that the union have the whole picture. If your union rep is not able to help go higher. I went to the union (NAS/UWT) head office in the end when I was being bullied at work. I send you my hugs and prayers that someone sorts out this situation for you.

jinky I am trying to recruit my sister!
