  • I'm new to the forum, but signed up mostly just so I could join these threads! I'm terrible at doing housework, as is my other half, so hopefully this will get me started!

I also have a visit from my mother and stepfather this week (wed/thurs) so will be trying to make the house (at least the entertaining areas) presentable.

    Here goes:

Monday ~ Kitchen of Grot and Dining Room of Gloom
    Level One
    Declutter and mop/vacuum the floors
    Find and wipe the worksurfaces
    Level Two
Wipe the big appliances and units.. don't forget kickboards!
Wipe small appliances and replace.. do one thoroughly.. descale or decrumb or degunge!
Clear and wipe a shelf or window sill
    Level Three
Wipe the table and replace the cloth if necessary.
Sort through and clean out one cupboard
    Clean the oven and hob..
    Extras
    1. Clean out the fridge.. make use of anything almost past its best
    2. Wash the windows
    3. Clean the top of the kitchen wall units.. if you can reach.. no accidents please!!
    4. Dust and Deweb
