from my experience with AOL (I used to work for them a few years ago) the live chat will be based on a script near enough so unless you have a standard issue they are not going to be able to help.

I would say login and then use internet explorer or firefox.

It may not mean anything but recently a server I use crashed and had to be restored from backups and for a while it was the url also started www2....they may have had some issues which they are working on and may be running from backup's....

P.S AOl still own the aol.co.uk domain till 11th Feb 2007

I've been with AOL for a while now(yes I know), and they have just changed the design of their homepage. Now when I log on the search bar at the top shows www2.aol.co.uk , is that right?

The reason I ask is that the search bar used to be blank i.e. for searching. Also when I tried just now to access these forums a popup appeared asking me to download a file but when I used firefox the popup didnt appear?

Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Pleased that I spotted this topic. I started having problems accessing the forums today and did not know why. Just spotted this search bar change www2.aol.co.uk and obviously the start of the problem. Does anybody have a email address at AOL that we can send this to?
  • I've just had another Live help chat with aol.It seems they have changed the welcome screen " due to customer feedback" !!!! Shame they don't communicate this with their customers. If you need to leave feedback on the new screen...just click the link for feedback on the Welcome screen
