If you not sent a SAR request yet, this may be useful.

Hopefully all your loan info will be included, especially if the accounts were active over the last 5/6 years.
However, there is a cost of £10 postal order or cheque payment that is required for this request.
It maybe worth it though, and of course with some of mine I even received info back from the late 90's.

    Template SAR letter here:

Again - post by recorded delivery.;)

  • Thanks Di3004, I'll download and post the letter to my bank and try and do it myself. I would have done it after you replied to me but shift work makes it difficult to get things done at times. I'll post letter to bank over weekend and keep everyone posted as to my progress. Thanks for all everyone's support, James

Hello James i went through the bank for my claims and was offered a good will gesture of £750 per loan i refused and went onto the fos at the begining of June this year, i had a phone call from a very nice gentleman at the fos the other day who told me that they have approached the rbs with a job lot of claims they have recieved for an early conclusion (mine being one) and are in talks with the bank and hope it wont take too much longer, i would defo do this yourself its quite easy and why pay for someone to do what you can do yourself.
I do feel for you and have been in your position with a bank i trusted to do the right thing i am now beyond mad.
All the people on this forum are wonderful and very helpful i have never waited more than a couple of hours when ive posted looking for support so go for it.
  • Many thanks shooby1, phoned the PPI claims number at the bank a few days ago, matter is in their hands for now. Am awaiting confirmation of my claim and their response. Will definitely use FOS if not satisfied (which I don't expect to be). I am also going to send the SAR letter to my bank as I feel it would be beneficial to me to have that information to hand myself. Will keep you all posted...thanks a million! James
