Thanks Lucky, I braved Asda and it was absolutely heaving, you would think the world was closing for a month the amount of things people were buying. I stopped all that spending years ago as we found most of it went bad, and also the shops opened the following day so what was the rush, as long as we had the basics in we managed just fine.

Just popping on to say what a good day I have had.
Daughter is now at her dad's had text to say she got there ok so I can relax about that.
Son is not in from work yet, but has declared he will spend day in bed tomorrow
Steve texted me from his parents (spending today as Christmas day with his children) and said he would be able to come for dinner tomorrow - on the one hand I am :j the other I had to rush out and get more provisions.....as daughter is away and son in bed I had decided dinner tomorrow would be a simple affair, only me, mum and dad to feed as son wont eat traditional roast so had planned some pasta dish with turkey for him later.....
Now I have made tomato and basil soup, turkey is cooking as I speak (type) and bought a ready made torte for desert
So roll on tomorrow - only the veg to sort out now and I can say I am done. :T:T
Now where did I put that beer
I hope you all have a great day tomorrow and manage to relax for some of the day, Merry Christmas everyone :beer:Been here for a long time and don't often post

Good morning world, it is my first day back to work today, I thought I would go in while it was quiet with so many people still enjoying the holidays. I have not been in since September (stress etc.) so it is a little daunting.
I hope everyone had a wonderful relaxing christmas and is looking forward to the new year, I know I am. I will be so glad when this year is over and I can start again.
Right here we go wish me luck and lets hope my inbox is not too bad when I get there......
Have a good day one and all and I will update later to let you know how I get on. (really this is a message for me so that I can read back and remind myself what it was like as I am sure to forget in a little while) :TBeen here for a long time and don't often post
