Well I did not get roudn to baking anything yesterday so I must do something today, I got a call from my son Adam last night at 11.45 pm he works in Asda and said "mum can you come in to the shop as you have my discount card and it is double discount today" so off I go like the good mum I am and we get a few bits and pieces, I saw some wrapping paper which I needed to finish off the presents and it was 14p:eek: so with teh discount I actually got it for about 11p - now that is the sort of bargain I like.

Now to wrap the presents up - catch you later xx

Well it has been a few days and I really think I have been bad not updating this, how am I ever going to keep on track when I cant keep up with my own diary! I sense a pattern here, I need to motivate myself so that I do not let things slide.

After a lovely night last night I have decided that my wardrobe really needs to be sorted out, I have lost a lot of size (weight stays pretty much the same no matter what goes on) so a lot of my clothes no longer fit me, which leaves me with a dilemma, how do I get new clothes that fit without spending money I dont have?? !! I am sure I will have a few things that still fit so I need to make sure these look tidy and take the others to the charity shop, and the really bad ones chuck them in the bin ! I do not want to be that size again anytime soon......lol

Hi everyone, well I am having a good day today, I had my appointment with Occupational Health at work and they have agreed that I am ready to go back to work, so I will go in for a few hours each day between Christmas and New Year, as I have been off since September, I think this will be a nice 'ease me back in' opportunity. I also spoke to my new manager (one of two now) and told him my plan and he is pleased with it, my job(PA) has changed slightly while I have been off and now I will go from looking after one senior manager to looking after two so that will take some adjusting to on my part and also theirs as neither of them have had a PA before so this year should be good fun!!

I am looking at it as a great new challenge which is probably just what I need after the awful doom and gloom I put myself through this last year, so new year new start for me (and them lol) god help them when they see how bossy I can be!!!

Savings wise not much to report, waiting on pay day it seems to be ages away and things are tight, but I think I will be ok the cupboards and freezer are ok the turkey has been bought so we won't starve.......:rotfl:

Woohoo I got my Littlewoods statement through this morning and it is now clear ! admittedly there was only £4.20 left to pay but it is a step closer and one less to worry about.

Have a good day and be safe if you have snow xx

While you're at the charity shop, why not look for some work clothes there? Nearly all my work clothes are from charity shops, and if you've lost size recently then you're more likely to fit into what they have!

Great job on getting things together, looks like an excellent start on your DFW journey.

Thanks that is a really good idea, I dont usually get to look - too much going on for shopping - which is probably a good thing moneywise. I will see what they have when I am next in.

Only me again, just popping by to say I have been to the gym today not been since last Friday :o I really need to get my a**e in gear if I want to look fabulous in my forties - oops bit late but trying hard lol/

I now ache, but feel better for going and know it helps my depression if I exercise so I am going to really give it a good go this coming year and tone up. Ideally I would love to lose about a stone in weight, but to be honesdt I am not too concerned with what the scales say. I have reduced my size by two dress sizes since being single :j but have only lost about 1/2 stone in weight..... not too sure how that works so I dont pay much attention and go by how my clothes feel. The biggest problem is having nice things to wear to work now I am smaller, but not being able to buy anything, so I will make do until I can afford it.

Steve is coming round again tonight, yay I am really enjoying our time together. I have made a huge pan of chilli and will freeze any leftovers for another time, and I have made apple crumble cos it is cold out and it is filling :D

I hope your day is going well, off for a shower now - dont want him seeing me all red faced after the gym ha ha :rotfl:

I am about to go shopping for last minute things, daughter asked if I was going out, could I pick up a few things for her as well, she is off to her dads tomorrow for Christmas and New Year, so this will be odd spending the holidays without her for the first time  but on the positive side my son has to work so will be staying home. Steve will visit on Christmas day after seeing his family so it wont be too bad.

Right Veg needs to be bought so I had better get a wriggle on or it will have sold out I would like to wish everyone a lovely peaceful Christmas and New Year and hope you can relax and enjoy the time you have.

More money saving soon - I will be glad when it is all over and I can concentrate on saving and not spending again  Dont get too drunk and be careful if you need to go out it is still really icy here and not nice to walk in.

    Heather xx
