Looking for weekend in Romainia

We'd like to go to Romania for 2 nights (3 days?) departing either 22nd or 29th July. Can fly from a Midland airport, Manchester or Heathrow. Any suggestions?

I went for two weeks in 2001 near a place called Titu. I wouldn't recommend it for a break though!

However, we went on a trip to Bucharest for the day, and there was lots to see.

The best place though, was in the mountains. I know that doesn't help, but it must've been near Titu or Bucharest. It was an idylic place, and they use it as a Ski resort in the winter.

We went in September, and the weather was amazingly hot on some days, and very warm on the others.

It's a strange and and unusual place, but I had one of the best times of my life. Just be very careful. While the majority of people are incredibly welcoming, there are a few dodgy characters!

Any idea which airline does direct (and cheap?) flights?

I don't think any budget airlines fly direct from the UK but you could go via another European city. Have a look HERE.
