Any paypal pros here? account locked with all my money!

Hi guys. i REALLY hope someone here can help me as i am at wits end at the moment with this,

Basically i have 2 diffrent accounts on ebay, 2 shops. 1 sells clothing for adults and kids (custom made) and the other shop sells other clothing items etc

The 1st shop has been open and very succesful for 3 years now. Until 3 days ago!

I went to withdraw my months earnings, and was very happy as it has been a lucritive month due to Christmas. I was worried as the amount was larger that it usually is (£3,120)

so i went to withdraw per usual and said i was limited and could not withdraw. i followed all the steps. uploaded all docs needed. Passport, invoices, suppliers etc

So this is where paypal started to upset me, i phoned them and told them all the paperwork is uploaded . they thanked me then said "oh we cannot take off the limit as its linked to another paypal acc"

Yes i said, i have 2!

went to check that 1 and that had the same limitations as my main account and even closed my 2nd ebay shop without telling me. Furious!

So i phoned again and said what is happening, uploaded the same docs, provided proof of postage for disputes which opened during a house move as i lost net access. this was all sent out today

So then they said they would lift both accounts, and i was relieved until they said "oh seems your accounts are linked to 4 others!!"

could not believe it as they never told me this before, so then stated i had to pay the balances from the previous accounts. These were accounts my ex partner used and havnt even been used since 2006!! as you can imagine i was less than happy and had to fork out £290 for accounts years old and which i never really knew of.

So i paid them, all disputes have tracking on the 2nd accout as proof, and even gave refrence numbers for proof of payment for the outstanding accounts from 2006

Was thanked by a lovely lady at paypal. and i said could u lift the limitations on my main account as this is my months wages and basically needed now for rent and bills

she started to stutter and was like "erm will be reviewed again (by a computer im sure) and a verdict will be made"

and mentioned that i may have to wait 6 months to access my own money! WHAT

so i paid up £290 as i was asked, no problem as i wanted to carry on with my business and now i still may be out of a job, and possibly a place to live now cos of this.

Can someone please help me!

So let me get this straight you has 6 accounts! No wonder paypal flagged this up as suspicious surprised it took them so long.

All you can do is keep phoning them and keep on there backs. All of what they have done is within there T&Cs all you can do is keep the pressure up.

Actually dont contact paypal cause you will waste your phone bill, Gather lots of emails as proof. Then contatc Financial Ombudsman Service explain the situation that have done everything you can, they will send you a complient form you send back with all your paypal emails. Once that is done they contact paypal and it does get resolved

what kind of emails do i need to send them? and where can i get a financial ombudsman? all new to me im affraid

Send them your address proof and identity proof. There will be reasons for the limitations.

Can you tel me what they mentioned there?

they asked for ID,invoices,supplier info,postage proof

all have been uploaded and supplied. but everytime i phoned they added something else to the story.
so i paid up the outstanding balances from 2006 which i was happy to do to resolve the problem

so they took nearly £300 to put the previous accounts to 0 yet im still no better off

All the emaills you send them trying to resolve it. And all the emails that they send you that doesn't help in anyway. Once you make the complaint to fos they will request everything you tried to do to resolve i.e the emails you sent.

Ask on th eebay board as well. Pretty sure Soolin can give you some advice.
