    Are they slower?
    Hasn't been my experience unless you are comparing with those that accept faster payments.

    When the letter showing the rate rise was sent, if you opened the letter you could have closed the account and frozen the lower rate...

    I agree with Moptop, MBNA are rubbish. They raise interest rates to ludicrous levels, keep moving the payment date so you never know when the money will come out and I have now noticed that their minimum payment is so low this month that I will go over my credit limit by the time they add interest if I only pay that.

    I will avoid them in future.
