London Travelcard please help!

I am travelling to London tomorrow and I want an 'anytime' London travelcard so that I can use the tube without having to wait in queues for tickets.

I can't find these cards on the nationalrail website so can I buy one from my local train station before I travel tomorrow?

Thanks.

You can just buy one from a machine at any tube station when you get to London. You shouldn't have to queue and even if you do, it'll only be for a minute or two.

Depending on where you are traveling from you may also be able to get one included in your train ticket to London - you can do this from Cambridge for example.

If you're going to use the tube a lot an Oyster card is what you want.

I think most large stations will add a TfL Travel card to your ticket... but you will probably be asked what zones you want it for. Are you going to be using the tube before 09.30?

If you cant add it to your ticket, Oyster is always cheaper. It will charge you for each single journey you make and deduct the balance from the card. It will stop deducting at 50p less than the cheapest travel card you could have used for all the journeys you make. On-peak travel cards arent that cheap unless you buy period or season tickets, so oyster pay as you go may be cheaper.
