Using Skype Overseas

Wasn't quite sure which forum this would fall into so apologies if it's in the wrong one.
I have got the Skype app on my Ipod and will be going overseas next week. When I get there do I use Skype as though I was in the UK or do I need to use the international 44 dialing code to call home to the UK or do I need to change any settings. I can't seem to find any info either on the web or on the Skype website itself.
