Taps with pop up waste.

Hi, I am looking for a new basin mixer but all the ones I like have the levered pop up waste. The tap is for a wall hung sink with no pedestal so I don't want the levers showing.

Would it be okay to use the tap without the lever with a different waste?
I know there would be a hole behind the tap but you wouldn't see that.

Thanks;)

No reason why not. Use a springloaded - push down to close, push down again to open - waste or flip waste.

I have a wall hung sink in my downstairs cloakroom. It has a lever operated waste plug. The levers cannot be seen because the sink is fitted with what is called a half pedestal. This is suspended from the underside of the sink by thick wires, which cannot be seen. The whole thing is very neat and I am well pleased with the set up.

I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

and the semi-pedestal also hides the supply and waste pipes. I prefer 'em fixed to the wall myself. Too much weight on the basin for my liking.
