  • just been to boots Bury to collect my 2 after getting an email saying reading for collection. They definitely arrived there according to their system but they're nowhere to be found!!! Manager is going to ring tomorrow should be very interesting to see what he has to say.

    oh gosh i hope they turn up i am not too optimistic for mine have not got any email to say mine is even in stock yet due in tomorrow :mad:

    I got my dispatch email on the 18th, and they were supposedly in Reading for the 19th (according to the tracking).

    However I STILL don't have them :( It is DHL domestic, so contracted out to the third party agent/s......absolute rubbish :(:(

    Called up DHL head office, who were no help - they said they could email the manager in Reading (no phone contacts possible - ?!?!), but it was unlikely to be before xmas now......which seeing as it was for xmas pressies isn't exactly much help....

    Damn Reading for selling out instore so quick :(:(

    Reading Oracle had some in stock this morning; you might give them a call and just go get one and then ask CS if you can decline delivery (if not, you could always return one hatbox). Would only decline delivery after second one is in hand, though!

    The email only comes out after the store scan your parcel(s) in. Mine was in store before I got a notification because the staff hadn't had time to do the scanning. Well worth a try if you don't hear.

    Here's my story.

    Hung about on here Friday 11.30 till 12.30 and gave up and went to bed. Then got up early for work and ordered them at 5.30. The website was flowing free and easy and got through to the 'thanks for your order page' quite as would normally. Skipped off to work that day all pleased with myself.

    Got home that day, found that I had not been sent a confirmation email and it said I didn't have any orders in my history so it seemed as if my order had just disappeared into thin air. Of course by that time they were all sold out online so I was gutted and couldn't figure it out.

    But today I come home to find them sitting here completely unexpectedly, no confimrations email, no order history, no despatch email. They have now charged me though. Totally weird.

    Anyone else epxerience this?
  • Just to say thanks for all your help and funniness waiting for these :) I gave up today and OH just waltzed in with one, having dropped in to a tiny Boots on his way home on the offchance, and got the last one !! I was gobsmacked as had no idea he'd been listening that closely :)

    I jokingly said earlier that I would ring DHL and ask for their courier's address so I could pick it up from them myself. But if no sign of it tomorrow then I will do that very thing. What do you think my chances are? :rolleyes:

    My postman said it's his worst Christmas in 21 years, his bag was like the Tardis, I took 5 parcels off him for neighbours, couldn't believe what he carries.

    It's been with Dhl for 2 days now and on tracking info it states "undeliverable due to adverse weather conditions".

    Got more items in the same order and they aren't urgent but after all the hours spent thursday night/friday morning I just want the S&G box here now please!

    Weather is bad here - Tesco cancelled our 'big christmas shop' last night due to snow. They had to cancel all orders booked from lunchtime onwards. Sent husband to collect it instead and apparently there were lots of men waiting to collect their orders. Husband rang CS to get ur delivery charge back and was also allocated £25 in e-vouchers to spend on next groceries shop on-line, so not bad in the end (though husband not a happy bunny at having to drive in the snow).

    I am soooooo glad I didn't rely on getting mine online and just braved the elements to go and get mine. Both are sitting snugly under my bed, just waiting to be devoured on Christmas morning. Me and DD will be fighting to get in to the shower!

    I managed to snag one on Friday...confirmation E.M and order number received. Not showing in my account history, so rang CS on Sat and they assured me it was fine...they`d rang the warehouse and it was being dispatched shortly. I rang again on Monday as it was still not showing in my account history...ready for dispatch they said, and we`ve even taken the money from your account.

    Rang yesterday for an update, only to be told that the order didn`t in fact go through!! How I managed to get an order number then, plus all the garbage I`d been told about my bank account being debited, is beyond me...I`m bloody furious...Had I been told the 1st time I called CS, I could have at least TRIED to get one instore! :mad:
  • looks like i won't get mine before xmas grr. It was ment to be instore today but i have just rang and they said that it wasn't there and that they were 6 orders missing from the delivery and that it was there last delivery to store before xmas.

    I am also trying to get hold of the Braun series 3-390cc Foil Shaver without any luck. I rang 10 stores within 30 miles of us and nothing boo hoo hubby really wants it and the offer goes off on the 29th.
