Boots OOTW 18/12/09

I'm really really peed off
Stayed up till 1am last night, website broked
Website still broked at 9am
Had to go get hair cut, then went to Stockport Peel Centre who at 10.30am had sold out.
The shelf space they'd given to them, right at the back of the store was miniscule, you could have probably fit 2 boxes in there.
Went to a meeting so the next few hours out of the question for searching.
1.30pm, went to Bury Peel Way, didn't even look like they'd had them in the first place, and it's a reasonable size store.
Called on way home to smaller store at Wythenshawe, again, no sign of them even having them.

Problem is, there's so many people profiting now on evil bay and us ordinary folk have no chance of getting any!!!

I'm beginning to feel it's a big scam and they didn't even exist in the North!

I wouldn't even dare go near the Trafford Centre on a day like today!

Have had confirmation e-mail from boots.com but when i log onto my account with them i have no outstanding order history. Is this normal or does it mean that it hasn't been ordered?

I finally gave in and went to Boots! I went to the one across town as they have parking outside - they'd just sold the last one. Then drove all the way into the town centre with my mum and we got one for each other's Christmas pressie! There was just one left after us.

We had called both and asked them to put one aside for us before, but both said no. Yet others on here have said they've put them aside for people! Very annoying!

Sooo glad to have finally got one!

Try Birstall @ J27 just off the M62, the retail park. Mum picked up two about an hour ago and said there were plenty left. Should be easier to get to (+free parking) than Halifax, if you're coming from Leeds. (Probably want to call to check stock levels first).

Spoke to a SA earlier in the week who said they were expecting them to sell out today and would not be staggering the stock across the weekend - claimed it was all going out on Friday and they would not be re-stocking unless they received another delivery during the week :eek: Then again, the same SA said it would be out of the question to reserve a single box... called up this morning citing the website is down and a (different!) lovely SA put two to one side for me with no problem!

Don't think Boots are that likely to get many in now, they have already started advertising the new offer of the week.

Online will not be selling the hat box at this price anymore even if they get more in stock, do you think the stores will carry it on? I already have mine just wondered if anyone knew for all the others that still want one?

Thanks for that and thanks also to the poster who suggested Halifax, I am not going to be able to go anywhere tonight but plan to do a ring around in the morning, am begining to think maybe its not meant to be even though would have loved one, lol, if nothing else its taken my mind of alot of things this week,

Cant wait for the sales after Christmas, haha

WOW...thats very suprising¬ there were loads! I would be wondering if SA had just made up there werent any cos they are getting annoyed at everyone buying them.....when I bought mine they were moaning their 'backs were aching from putting them in bags'.....
