Sent hubby into Boots in the Great Yarmouth store, he didn't get there until 8.50 and the sales assistant said that is practically all they have sold sp far today and don't expect the stock to last much longer!
  • Very VERY peed off. My mum went in to Ely on the way past and the sales assistant said they'd all been 'reserved' the f-ing cheek. I wouldn't mind if you could go in to any store and reserve one but store specific rules really get to me. I've been trying since midnight to get my order through and I'm so angry I could ring up Boots and give them a peice of my mind, but in this rage I doubt it'd be productive
  • Picked one up on the way to work from the Hammersmith store (little one inside the station). They had 4 on display, but had more out the back. The SA said he'd refilled it once already and that was about 8:15 this morning.

Paid with points - one very happy lady today :)

Only one thing....I have to leave it at work over the weekend as I've got my Christmas party tonight and there's no way I'm lugging it around town, so I won't get to fully appreciate it until Monday....but Oh well! It's going under the tree anyway :)
  • ordered mine at just after 2am, now slightly annoyed i didn't see the No17 makeup set, Hubby won't let me place another order so will have to hope they have them in my little local store tomorrow when i come home from work as i have enough points on my card to buy one.
  • Wwas at my local swindon store with my 3 kids in toe for opening time this morning 8am ,they had quite a few piled high, but by the time i had gone through the queue ,i would say there were less than 50 left....Well chuffed i got mine Thanks OP
Will this hammy hunt ever end ???
    So far all 4 hamsters £40,3 beds £15,Skate board and u turn £22,House £25 total £97.00 ....still wanting wheel,car,slide,ball,surf board ....
    HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERY ONE :rotfl:

  • All the people who are still trying for internet orders have probably got several 'pages' open and are blocking the site. Close down some pages to ease the traffic and phone your local Boots as they will put one (or more) aside for you for collection as and when the snow clears. I have upped my order to 2 now as everyone seems so pleased with the purchase they have been lucky enough to get.

blooming varified by visa, i always forget the passowrd, hope i got it right first time

same here -I always have to change the password cos have forgotten it - I am running out of choices!

I gave in at 1.10 and went to bed. OH got up at 4.30 and said do you want to order your hatbox? Luckily had the laptop so didn't have to get out of bed! even at that time it took ages to go through esp the payment - goodness knows what the sales will be like! their system really is carp

I have had a confirmation e mail but you never know with boots till you have it in your hands. Glad I did it online as roads here are so slow cos of the snow.

    thanks again!

  • Just 3 of us at our local Boots when they opened the door - but we left with 7 hatboxes between us! I bought one as a pressie - my brother's gf loves retro stuff, this is perfect - plus I spent another £5 to trigger the extra 150 points voucher from the machine I never knew existed till a lovely person mentioned it on this thread a couple of days back (thank you - but can't trawl 1000 posts to find out who you are!) Anyway... all that meant my lifetime Boots points, (cos I'd never got round to cashing them in in years)...WERE JUST OVER 2000... so I got a free hatbox for myself!

And the hatboxes are not only beautiful but also strong & resiliant. I am unfortunately able to confirm that it's possible to slip on sheet ice and drop them and they survive without a mark. Not so sure I can say the same for myself!!
